Geographic Board changes
PA Wellington The head of the Maori studies department at Victoria University, Professor Sidney Moko, and the chairman of the Ngai Tahu (South Island) Maori Trust Board, Mr Stephen Gerard O’Regan, have been appointed to the Geographic Board. The Minister of Maoir
' Affairs, Mr Wetere, announcing the appointments by the Governor-General, Sir David Beattie, said the terms were for three years from July 1. “The two retiring members, Mrs Tilly Reedy and Mr Charles Mohi, gave outstanding service with their specialist knowledge and I thank them for all their work,” Mr Wetere said.
