Kiwis’ work cut out

NZPA staff correspondent Auckland Both the Kiwi and Kangaroo coaches have difficult tasks ahead of them this week after Sunday’s dramatic second test. Mr Graham Lowe must somehow lift his dispirited New Zealanders, beaten 10-6 with a try in the last minute of the game, to fight again next Sunday. And the Australian coach, Mr Terry Fearnley, is worried by the lack of sparkle in his side’s attacking which he must restore for next week’s third test. The players were relaxing at their hotels yesterday while the coaches wrestled with the tasks of lifting their sides for a final and equally vital clash. Mr Lowe must be wondering what he has to do to beat the Kangaroos. After coming close in Brisbane a fortnight ago when the Kiwis led 20-14, only to be beaten with two tries in the last quarter of the game, the final ignominy came yesterday. Having led for 60 minutes, to be beaten in the last 60 seconds was shattering.
