Patient arrives with rifle
A young woman patient on leave from Sunnyside Hospital was returned to the hospital by the police on Saturday morning after arriving with a flintlock rifle at the Fendalton Road house of a senior staff member. The woman, aged 27, was
on trial leave from the hospital and wanted the staff member to release her completely from her treatment. The inoperative antique rifle had allegedly been taken several hours earlier from Cromb and Merritt Sports store in the City Mall.
