Bluff man dies in harbour crash

PA Invercargill A Bluff man was killed when the car he was in left the Bluff-Invercargill highway early yesterday and landed upside down in Bluff Harbour. He was Owen Fredrick Robinson, aged 30. The driver of the car, Liana Tuaine Mareangareu, aged 17, of Bluff, Was admitted to Southland Hospital suffering from inhalation of water and abrasions

to the lower limbs. Her condition last evening was described as moderately serious. Another passenger in the car, Jacquline Buckley, aged 17, of Invercargill, was also admitted to Southland Hospital after inhaling water, but her condition was not serious. The car landed on its roof in 1.5 metres of water just a few hundred metres from the Ocean Beach freezing works, at 1 a.m.
