Colleges draw, 10-10

St Andrew’s College went close to scoring an upset when it held Christ’s College to a 10-10 draw in the main first XVs secondary schools rugby match of the week. Christ’s College evened the scores in the last few minutes with a pressure try. Scorers for St Andrew’s were Michael Lee with a try and Greg O’Reilly and Ralph Brunie, with one penalty goal each. Christ’s points were all scored by David Tudehope with a try and two penalties. The final score was 34-4, Linwood scoring seven tries. These went to Neil Orsbourn (2), David Robertson (2), Tai Parata (2) and Bevan Pearse. George Wright converted three of these tries.
