Baby born with A.I.D.S.

NZPA-Reuter Vienna A baby has been born in Austria with the killer disease, A.1.D.5., according to a senior health official. Mr Gernot Suess, director of health for Upper Austria, told Reuters it was the first congenital case of the disease in Austria but he was not sure if it was the first such incident of A.I.D.S. (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) in Europe. The baby was born a year ago and has since contracted other illnesses, including pneumonia. Mr Suess said the child’s future looked bleak.
