The second part of the Youth Art Exhibition at the C.S.A. Gallery will open on Monday evening. .ij • Fifty-four entries by young- artists make up the show. Although it was smaller than the 80-exhibit first part of the exhibition, it was still an exciting exhibition, said one of the organisers, Bernard Maxwell. ... Origins II will run until June 16. The exhibition has been organised by the Christchurch Youth Council and sponsored by “The Press.” Young artists were given reign to produce a work or works within the (heme of “Origins.” Works submitted ranged from a painting on hide to sculpture. Two parts of the exhibition were arranged to exhibit as many works as possible. About 20 of the works that were for sale from Origins I had been sold, Mr Maxwell said. The response to the exhibition had been good with several school parties visiting the gallery, he said.
