Strike cut for rugby
PA Auckland One of several groups involved in 24-hour strikes' at the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company’s mill at Kawerau has opted for a 22hour stoppage. The group will return at 6 a.m. today instead of 8 a.m. The management agreed
to the early start so that the tradesmen could knock off ' in time to see the telecast of the rugby test between England and the All Blacks this afternoon. Twelve unions at the mill are on a series of 24-hour strikes as part of continuing action of a wage claim.
