Fictional role lined up
PA « ■ Nelson Sir Robert Muldoon will play a role in the children’s television series “Terry and
the Gun Runners,” now being filmed in Auckland. The former Prime Minister will play the head of a Government department in charge of two incompetent investigators. The show’s producer, Mr Logan Brewer, said yesterday, “He has got to dress them down until they are quivering heaps. We couldn’t think of anybody better than Sir Robert Muldoon.” The Government department would probably be the equivalent of Internal Affairs, Mr Brewer said. Sir Robert confirmed
from Parliament yesterday that he was going to take the part, which he described as a “police officer.” “It is really very brief — what you call a guest appearance.” Asked if he had been involved in a fictional television programme, he said, “Not unless you count Parliament.” ; > To the comment that he would be involved in a different world from what he was used to, he said, “Not too different.” Sir Robert said he did not have very many lines to learn and thought he would find it an interesting.experience.- ;■ ... .... Mr Brewer said Sir Robert would probably be on screen for about 90 seconds. . ..,
