Winches ready
PA Auckland Enterprise New Zealand, one of New Zealand’s two entries in the Whitbread round-the-world race, is expected to have its main winches installed within days. Two primary winches and three engineers who will install them in Tahiti flew out of New Zealand last
evening, courtesy of Air New Zealand. On Thursday evening, Enterprise was 750 miles south-west of Tahiti and has been diverted to the island to have the winches installed. The departure of Enterprise was delayed about six weeks because the winches were not delivered.
