RETAIL FOOD INDUSTRY OPPORTUNITIES FOODSTUFFS (Wellington) Co-operative Society Limited is a large successful organisation. Its corporate purpose is the marketing and distribution of groceries and food products through its member group supermarkets and stores which include: New World Supermarkets Write Price Food Barns Cut Price Stores Shoprite Stores Four Square Stores The company has enjoyed outstanding expansion and growth particularly over the last two years and is entering a further phase of development of its member retail activities. In order to support this development we seek to recruit an additional number of talented people Into leadership roles. SUPERMARKET AND FOODSTORE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT The company is heavily involved in the design, development and modernisation of retail outlets and wishes to expand further its activities in this respect. It therefore seeks to complement its existing design team and invites applicants with design draughting skills, preferably with a background experience associated with the retail food industry. Experience in shop fitting, building construction and/or refrigeration would be appropriate. This is a senior position and the successful applicant will be required to take final responsibility for specific projects from the concept stage through to construction supervision, interior design, equipment selection and final fitting out. Location: Wellington. RETAIL SUPERVISORS Additional Supervisors are to be recruited. Applicants for these roles will need to have acquired a high level of technical knowledge (probably based upon experience and desirably at supermarket level) in any of the following product retail activities. Grocery Butchery Fruit & Vegetables Delicatessen The role of each Supervisor in each of these departments involves the supervision of retail merchandising activities relating to product range, quality and presentation and the instore training of personnel working within each department at retail level. There are various location options at Wellington, Palmerston North, New Plymouth.
