Another injury hits Southland
PA Invercargill Bad luck continues to interfere with the Southland rugby team’s preparation for Tuesday’s match against England. After suffering the loss of the captain and first fiveeighths, Paul Mac Fie, with a broken collarbone in club rugby on Saturday, the team found at its training run last evening that the winger. Bruce Pascoe, has suffered a fractured shoulder. Bill Molloy will replace Pascoe.
In MacFie’s absence, the flanker, Denis Kelly, has I been named to captain the team for the England game. The Southland team for the match is: Brent McKenzie, Alan Monaghan. Paul Laidlaw, Bill Molloy, John Chittock, Murray Brown, Chris Hiini, Trevor Bokser, Denis Kelly (captain), Alan Bryne, Gordon Mckenzie. Paul Henderson, Kevin Molloy, Bain McCall, Paul Cosgrove. Reserves: Brent Youle, Murray Hewitson, Murray Stevens, Gerard Adams, Brian Dickison. Eric Todd.
