Mental health meeting
PA Wellington The Mental Health Foundation will hold a national conference in Wellington from June 5 to June 8. The foundation’s director, Dr Max Abbott, said the timing of the conference was crucial “as New Zea-
land is at a crossroads in terms of the direction our mental health services take.” The conference would discuss the move to community care rather than admission to hospital, Maori perspectives on mental health, and the new Mental Health Act, he said.
