Innes inquiries continue
The man heading a police inquiry into the death of Graeme David Innes believes there is still a “reasonable chance" of an arrest or arrests. Detective Inspector Jim Millar said the police had isolated a small group of suspects in the homicide.
A number of general inquiries were still being made, he said.
The inquiry has entered its sixth week, and has scaled down from a peak of 20 detectives to two full time and three part time. Mr Innes, an associate of the Devil’s Henchmen gang,
was shot dead in Ferry Road on March 31.
Detective Inspector Millar said that the likelihood of apprehending a suspect
or suspects in the case diminished as time progressed. However, there were still avenues of inquiry to be exhausted, he said.
