Champion loses golf
PA Taupo The Australian champion, Louise Mullard, got no further than round one of the New Zealand junior women’s golf tournament at Taupo’s Centennial Golf Course yesterday. Mullard was beaten one up by semi-finallist, Allison Munt, of Queensland.
Tauranga’s Jan Cooke earned a place in this morning’s semi-finals with a two-up, second round win over Helen Greenwood. She will meet Desley Harper, of Mullard’s Australian representative team, while Munt will tee-off with Lisa Brien, another full representative.
