Rugby tour
Sir,—Referring to R. L. Pluck’s letter dated May 3, I served in Korea with the Australian Forces and met New Zealanders there. I was very impressed with the Kiwi “and more so by the ones I played rugby with.” Like R. L. Pluck I migrated from England to New Zealand. Since arriving in this country I have mixed with the rugby fanatics, and with the exceptions of one or two I find them a charming lot, and I am sure that win or lose, the All Blacks will not defile the name of New Zealand. I thank my lucky stars we have Governments that allow travel from one country to another. If that was not the case I would never have had the chance to migrate to New Zealand. That would have applied to you also, Ron.—Yours, etc., J. McINTYRE. Tai Tapu, May 7, 1985.
