Jubilee Prize winners
PA Wellington Michael Turner, of the “Southland Times” newspaper, and Roger Foley, of the “New Zealand Times,” share this year’s New Zealand Journalists’ Union Jubilee Prize for investigative journalism. Turner’s entry, a series of
articles on strike fund irregularities at Ocean Beach freezing works, had earlier won top prize in the Beattie Journalism Awards. Foley, who won the Jubilee Prize last year, submitted a series of articles on the Clyde Dam. Each winner will receive $250.
