Lower-grade women’s cricket played on Saturday resulted:— Senior B Merivale-Papanui 72 (D. Stout 29; T. Castle 5/8) and 76 (B. Carr 5/4) lost to Lancaster Park 89/2 dec. (S. Claxton 39 not out, G. Macey 30) and 62/1 dec. (Claxton 28 not out). St Albans 42 (P. Tuitaupe 7/ 20) and 105 (M. Nijland 39; Tuitaupe 3/23) lost to EastShirley 162 (S. Cameron 41, N. Thompson 28; N. McKnight 5/38). Riccarton 80 (A. Nicholson 40) and 45 (J. Robertson 7/13, K. Lees 3/26) lost to Hornby 85/5 (Robertson 27) and 51/3 (L. Crutchly 18). Third grade
Sydenham 15/8 and 27/8 lost to Marist 67/4.
St Albans B 73/3 met Hornby H.S., game abandoned. Harewood 10/8 lost to Riccarton 13/4.
Sydenham 15 (C. Atkins 3/4) and 27/5 (K. Grether 3/3) lost to Marist 67/4 (M. Gilmore 33 not out, A. Manaton 3/31).
