Disarmament talks

PA Wellington The chairman of the Swedish Disarmament Commission, Mrs Maj Britt Theorin, will be in New Zealand next month to talk with representatives of the Government on disarmament matters. Mrs Theorin, a member of the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) and prominent on disarmament issues, will be in New Zealand from January 15 for a three-day visit. A spokesman for the Swedish Embassy knew little of what subjects Mrs Theorin will discuss, but understood it would involve talking about nuclear weapons-free zones with the Prime Minister, Mr Lange, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Parliamentarians and representatives of the peace movement.
