Misleading decorations
PA Wellington A Christmas tree was responsible for what appeared to be an S.O.S. emergency in Titahi Bay at the week-end. Sergeant Jim Marshall said that the police received a call from a man at 2.30 a.m. on Sunday who was concerned at what appeared to be S.O.S. flashes from a nearby house. A patrol was sent, to the house, only to ffgd the flashes were Christmas tree lights.
