New mail service
Japan will launch an international electronic mail service using facsimile transmission later this month, the Posts and Telecommunications Ministry says. Letters sent to seven countries — the United States, Britain, West Germany, the Netherlands, France, Australia, and Hpng Kong — will reach the recipient the next day at the latest, compared 'With three to six days by air mail now, the Ministry says. —Tokyo.
