Mayor’s report not ‘received’
PA Auckland The Waitemata City Council decided last evening not to receive the monthly report of the Mayor, Mr Tim Shadbolt. Instead, it voted to refer it to the city solicitors for comment and action. The Deputy Mayor, Mr Bob Stanic, termed the report slanderous and insulting and said the council should dissociate itself from it. Mr Shadbolt said, “Is this the final humiliation to me as Mayor of this city that I cannot even present my report to this council?”
