Sir,—Your grocery “basket” rose 54.64 during September — a rise of 2.64 per cent, giving an annual rate of 31.72 per cent. A number of rises due to devaluation are yet to come; rises due .to the Budget are perhaps just around the corner. People are finding it harder to live. — Yours, etc. J. RICHARDSON. October 18, 1984.
