Radio and television licence fees
Sir,—l do not think it is right for people who own only a radio to pay the same fee as people who own a television set For those who own a radio are mostly poor people. How t can the student living on a small bursary pay the same fee as the businessman? What about people who are already paying Radio Rhema’s subscription? Would they have to pay a double fee? Labour Party policy is to help the poor. It has to stand to its ideals and help them. — Yours, etc., .HELEN OSTASH. October 19, 1984.
