NZPA-AAP Melbourne Industrial Equity, Ltd, purchased 1.01 million shares in AUC Holdings, Ltd, on-market on Friday, at sAust4.26 each, lEL said. The announcemer t comes after market speculation that FAI Insurances had been the buyer of the shares, which represent 10.6 per cent of AUC’s issued capital. Morgan Guaranty Trust Company announced last week that it would offer sAust4.lo a share for the 54.7 per cent of AUC it does not own.
