Simpson eliminated
NZPA-AAP Sydney Russell Simpson joined his New Zealand Davis Cup teammate, Chris Lewis, as a first round casualty when he lost to the Australian, Paul McNamee, in the Australian indoor tennis championship
yesterday. McNamee beat Simpson, one of his former doubles partners, 6-4 7-6 to join his compatriots, Brad Drewett, John Fitzgerald and John Frawley, in the last 16 of the Custom Creditsponsored tournament.
