Buller, Westland: Westerly winds, strong at times; cloudy with showers. Extended range forecast until Saturday: A strong disturbed westerly airstream is expected to persist over New Zealand for the rest of the week. Fronts in the westerlies will cross the country every 36 hours or so, mainly affecting western districts and the south of the South Island.
