Creditors’ meeting goes ahead

PA Wellington A creditors’ meeting of the John Kirk-owned Image Wholesalers, Ltd, went ahead yesterday in Wellington without any creditor in attendance.

The Official Assignee, Mr Pat Gallagher, said the meeting was able to proceed because he held proxies from three of the company’s four known creditors. Mr Gallagher has been appointed liquidator of the company, which has debts of about $43,000.

Image Wholesalers was wound up by order of the Wellington High Court on August 29 on the petition of Andas Centres, Ltd, which claimed to be owed $3600 for office equipment. Image Wholesalers was incorporated in Auckland on September 8 last year. The objects of the company were described as retailing, wholesaling and distributing Reso Image Makers photocopiers and screen printing. Norman John Kirk held 2550 $1 shares and his wife, Yvonne Redit, held the other 2450. Their address

and the address of the registered office of the company were listed as IB Ashton Towers, Abel Smith St, Wellington.

Ms Redit was listed as secretary of the company. Image Wholesalers had no fixed charges — mortgages, debentures — registered against it. MrGallagher

said inquiries were being made to see if the company had any assets.

Mr Gallagher, who is also handling Mr Kirk’s bankruptcy, said he was still consulting with the police as to whether Mr Kirk could be brought back to New Zealand.
