Thomson suspended
NZPA-AAP Melbourne The New Zealand-born jockey, Brent Thomson, will miss three city meetings after being suspended for careless riding over his ride on Star Style Girl in the first division of the Evening Peal Handicap (1400 m at Flemington on Wednesday. Although Thomson will miss three city meetings, he will return to ride on Caulfield Cup day, October 20. The jockey returned to Melbourne just over a week ago after a successful riding stint in Europe. At his first ride back he won on Bletchen Core at Caulfield and completed a winning double for the day on Mapperley Heights.
