Aussie synthetic carpet launched
A new range of Austra-lian-made nylon carpets has been launched in New Zealand to challenge the traditional consumer following of wool-blend floor coverings. Redbook carpets are claimed to have many features, including a wide choice of strong colours and patterns and a considerably extended life span over traditional floor coverings. They have a five-year warranty.
Because Redbook nylon is subject to a specialised printing process during manufacture, the carpets are available in colours which are stronger arid patterns which can be varied to provide a greater choice for the consumer, according to
the importing company, Flooring Distributors, Ltd, of Auckland. The carpet has received the Scotchgard treatment, a process which is claimed to make the carpet soil resistant, easy to clean, and protect it from staining. “Redbook carpet also undergoes a sanitising process during manufacture for added protection, ensuring the prevention of odour build-up, mildew and mustiness,” said Mr George Villars, marketing manager of Flooring Distributors. The new product range carries the sign of the Tiger which is a trademark developed from the special “Tigron” process by which the carpet is manufactured.
