Dairy hold-up charge
Greymouth reporter A man who is alleged to have held up a dairy in Ferry Road, Christchurch, on August 8, was remanded in custody to the District Court at Christchurch on August 31 when he appeared in the District Court at Greymouth yesterday before Mr D. H. Copeland, Justice of the Peace. John Edward Mills, aged 23, an unemployed sandbias-
ter, entered no plea to the charge which was laid indictably. The charge was that being armed with an offensive weapon — gelignite — he robbed Noeline Peggy Clark of $320. He was also charged with failing to report to the periodic detention centre to which he had been sentenced on May 25. Mills was arrested in Westport on Sunday.
