Man refuses jail food
PA Auckland A man on remand at Paremoremo Prison has been on hunger strike for a week. The man, Frederick David Howard, is protesting about being refused bail on charges of escaping from custody, and assault An application by the Melbourne police for the extradition of Howard was withdrawn earlier this month.
