PA Rotorua BOXING Peter Warren (Bluff) showed fine form in the lightweight title when he outclassed Eldon Clifton (Otago) in the third session of the national boxing championships in Rotorua yesterday. Warren connected with a solid right, Imin 20s into the first round and it sent Clifton reeling to the canvas. After the compulsory count, Warren connected again and the referee, Kevin Walker (Hamilton), had no hesitation in stopping the fight Colin Hunia, of Rotorua, the defending titleholder, took only 45s to have his fight against William Murphy (Auckland) stopped, with Murphy clearly outclassed.
