Duran bliss
The eligibility of the members of Duran Duran are steadily being cut down — Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes have got married within a month of each other. By far the better tale is that of Taylor’s who got married to Giovanna Cantone, who was described by the London “Daily Star” as a “dusky beauty — Cinderella princes of the 80s.” Not to be outdone “Melody Maker” said the bride could not pronounce her "rs” and calls her husband “Woger.” Nick Rhodes, Duran Duran’s star was married here yesterday in a hush-hush
ceremony, it was reported today. The 22-year-ola keyboard player married the American model, Julie Anne Friedman, aged 21, in a quiet ceremony at London’s Marylebone registrar office, which was guarded by eight burly “minders.” Rhodes kept the news of the impending wedding a secret since Christmas to avoid a jealous reaction by fans, according to the “News of the World.” The best “man” was a girl — the American singer, Elaine Griffiths. There is no news on how the American model handles the English language.
