Irrigation
Sir,—Mr G. Inch was correct in stating ("The Press,” August 2), that sheep and cattle irrigation schemes are uneconomic; but he was unwise to suggest that we should spend many millions of dollars for the construction of more river irrigation schemes. We already have many uneconomic river irrigation schemes which should be made profitable through diversification before we plan any more—Yours,
