Opening of Parliament live on One
The State opening of Parliament will be screened live on One from 2.25 to 3.30 p.m. tomorrow. The live broadcast will begin and end with the arrival and departure of the Governor-General, Sir David Beattie, and will feature the speech from the Throne. The Maori welcome and the Wainuiomata Intermediate School concert party’s Maori and English performance of “God Defend New Zealand” and the hymn, “How Great Thou Art,” will be featured. The commentators will be Marama Martin and lan Johnstone and the programme will be directed by David Baldock and produced by Peter Morrit
