150 seek 12 rest home jobs
More than 150 people have applied for jobs at the Bishopspark Rest Home in Park Terrace, which will open in early October. The rest home is on the same site as a retirement complex which will accommodate up to 100 residents. Workers needed at the rest home include registered nurses, general aides, kitchen hands, and cooks. The matron, Mrs J. L. Morrish, said that about 12 workers were needed. She would reply to all the applicants. Anglican Social Services notified the vacancies in the situations vacant column of “The Press” on Saturday, asking applicants to write to Anglican Social Services at its box number in Christchurch.
