Hororata’s profit
A profit of $9443 is shown in the accounts to be presented to the annual meeting of the Hororata Trotting Club tomorrow evening. The club showed a profit of $2562 for the previous 12 months.
The club’s farewell meeting on its own course last March saw a record oncourse turnover of $238,427, says the report of the president, Mr Tom Brankin.
The decision to race in future at Ashburton was taken at the annual meeting after a recommendation from a special committee meeting. Both meetings considered offers from Ashburton, Motukarara, and Rangi-
ora before voting in favour of Ashburton. The report seeks the future support from members and also from owners and trainers.
