St John introduces award
A new training scheme to develop leadership qualities will be launched next year by the Order of St John. The scheme, to be known as the Prior’s Award, has been designed for young people between the ages of 18 and 25, according to the order’s chief secretary, Mr

Randal Elliott, said that the award was an attempt to realise the goal of better dialogue and understanding among future leaders of society. The institution of the award will be part of the 1985 centennial celebrations of the Order of St John in New Zealand.
