Fatal electric shock

PA Wellington A man died from electric shock after the tray of his truck touched 11,000-volt overhead power lines, the Coroner’s Court,at Wellington has been told. Ronald John Anderson, aged 30, a self-employed contractor, died on March 28 from accidental electric shock, the Coroner, Mr A. D. McGregor, found. 1 Mr Anderson had been

dumping soil on an empty section. The tray of his truck, in a raised position, caught in the overhead lines and the whole vehicle became livened, Mr McGregor said.

When he climbed from his truck in bare feet, he came on contact with both the truck and the ground and suffered a fatal shock, his body being the conductor from the livened truck to the ground.
