Treble entry
Sir,—Today I received three letters from the Inland Revenue Department, each in a separate envelope. One letter advised me of an amendment to my tax return, the second told me what the amendment was going to be. The suspense mounted as my fingers tore open the third letter. This envelope contained the amendment—s3.lo. I am debating whether or not I should donate the $3.10 back to the department to assist it in paying for three stamps, three envelopes . . . —Yours, etc., J. M. GILES. July 19, 1984.
