Investigations continuing
Christchurch detectives are still investigating the theft of a substantial quantity of a painkilling drug from a pharmaceutical firm in Bryndwr on Monday night.
The drug, a readily available analgesic, is a type which drug addicts use as a basic ingredient in manufacturing morphine. Detectives believe that the theft is a sign that clandestine laboratories are being set up in Christchurch to make morphine.
