U.K. actress for ‘Sylvia’

PA Auckland A British actress, Eleanor David, will star in “Sylvia,” a New Zealand movie about the rebel educationist, Sylvia Ashton-Warner.

Ms David, aged 30, played the female lead in Pink Floyd’s film, “The Wall,” had a part in “Reilly, Ace of Spies” and has just completed a film of the Scarlet Pimpernel playing Louisa opposite Anthony Andrews and Jane Seymour. However, she says playing the recently deceased New Zealander should be her most challenging role yet.

“It’s a challenge playing somebody who was real, whom you admire and whom you can identify with. “Sylvia was a clearly defined character — a survivor. Doing justice to her beliefs and strong personality will be difficult,” Ms David said.
