NZPA appoints editor
PA Wellington Mr Derek Round has been appointed editor of the NewZealand Press Association, its chairman, Mr Julian Smith, announced yesterday. Mr Round, now- NZPA’s senior correspondent in London, will take up his appointment on September 3. Before his posting to Lon-
don in 1980, Mr Round was NZPA’s chief Parliamentary reporter and the association’s correspondent in Hong Kong from 1973 to 1977. Before joining NZPA in 1972, he worked for Reuters and the Australian Associated Press. Mr Round succeeds Mr Max Lambert who resigned recently.
