Scotts on target
Three Scotts, none of them related, were separated by just one point when the South Island ten pin bowling men’s singles championship was decided in Christchurch yesterday. David Scott, the present national title-holder, accumulated 1507 points. Equal second, with 1506 points, were Doug Scott and Peter Scott. The women’s singles was won quite convincingly by Annette Amtman, and Greg Hartshorne and Jane Adorian had plenty of points to spare in the mixed doubles. The men’s and women’s doubles will be decided today. Yesterday’s results were.— Men’s singles.—Scratch: David Scott, 1507, 1; Doug Scott and Peter Scott, 1506, equal 2; Michael Beresford, 1489, 4.
