PA Masterton Two New Zealand shearers, Colin King and John Fagan, won the teams’ championship at the Royal Bath and West Show in England at the weekend. The winner of the world open championship title was Tom Wilson, a Scotsman who has shorn regularly in New Zealand near Kelso, in West Otago. Fagan (Te Kuiti), winner of this year’s Masterton Golden Shears open title, was runnerup, with Robert Ball (England) third. King (Otorohanga), winner of this year’s Caltex National, was fourth and George Bayne (Scotland) was fifth.
