Mozambique to attend
NZPA-AFP Maputo Mozambique, headed by a Marxist-Leninist party and with close official links with the Soviet Union, which is boycotting the games, will take part in this summer’s Los Angeles Olympics. A member of the National Olympic Committee told the
Noticias newspaper that Mozambique would participate in athletics and swimming. The country first took part in Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980. Moscow has shown wariness about the recent non-aggres-sion pact between Mozambique and Ayjth Africa.
