Queen’s Birthday salute
A 21-gun salute will be fired by the Royal New Zealand Artillery i.i North Hagley Park on Monday to mark the official birthday of the Queen.
The salute will be fired near the Armagh Street bridge at noon, using four 105 mm howitzers. It will be fired by Regular Force and Territorial Force soldiers from 32 (E) Battery, 3 Field Regiment. With them will be 10 cadets from Christ’s College and St Andrew’s College. The gun-positioning officer will be Second Lieutenant Craig Ruane.
