ROY GRANGER, President AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL TRAFFIC CONTROL BY-LAW 1974 AMENDMENT NO. 2 PUBLIC NOTICE Is hereby given that the Akaroa County Council at Its meeting held on Friday, April 27, 1984, passed the following resolution by way of Special Order. THAT the Akaroa County Council acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors and Inhabitants of the Akaroa County, hereby makes by Special Order the following By-law pursuant to the powers contained In the Local Government Act, 1974, the Traffic Regulations 1976 and any other Act or Authority In any way enabling the Council in that behalf. SHORT TITLE 1. This by-law may be cited at the Akaroa County Traffic Control By-law 1974 Amendment No. 2. COMMENCEMENT 2. This by-law shall come into force on the 9th day of July, 1984. NO STOPPING AT ALL TIMES 3. Schedule One of the Akaroa County Traffic Control By-law 1974 is amended as follows:— Rue Jolie (South) (1) On the western side from the Intersection of Bruce Terrace to 6m north. (2) The western side from the Intersection of Aylmers Valley Road to 20m north. Rue Balguerle (1) On the southern side from the Intersection of Rue Lavaud for a distance of 20m eastwards. (2) On the south side from the Intersection of Rue Lavaud for a distance of 10m westward. Rue Lavaud (1) On the eastern (landward) side: (a) Delete the words “Rue Vlard” and replace with the words “Rue Grehan.” (c) Delete “On the western (seaward) side for 32m starting 16m north of the intersection of Rue Croix." Beach Road (1) On the eastern (landward) side: (b) Amend to read “from and Including the Bruce Creek Bridge to a point opposite the building known as the Akaroa Boatsheds.” (c) Amend to read “from the end of Aylmers Valley Walking Track (end of crib wall) to a point 40m south of the Lighthouse.” (d) Amend to read “from the Pedestrian Service Lane from Hempieman Drive south to the termination of Beach Road.” Aubrey Street (1) On the eastern side between the intersection of Bruce Terrace for a distance of 20m north. Bruce Terrace (1) On the northern side between the intersection of Aubrey Street for a distance of 20m westward. Rue Britain (1) On both sides from the intersection of Rue Lavaud for a distance of 10m eastwards. Church Street (1) On the northern side: (a) From the intersection of Rue Jolie for a distance of 10m westward. (b) From opposite the Aubrey Street intersection for a distance of 10m westward. (2) On the southern side between the intersection of Beach Road for a distance of 20m eastward. Rue Cachalot (1) On the west and south side from the intersection of Rue Balguerle to the termination of Rue Cachalot. (2) On the east and northern side: (a) From the intersection of Rue Balguerle 90m southward. (b) From the termination of Rue Cachalot 80m northwestward. Settlers Hill (1) On the northern side from the intersection of Rue Balguerle for a distance of 290 m westward. (2) On the southern side from the bridge northwestward for a distance of 270 m. STOP OR GIVE WAY SIGNS 4. Schedule Two of the Akaroa County Traffic Control By-law 1974 is amended as follows:— (1) Traffic on CHURCH STREET shall give way to traffic travelling on RUE JOLIE. (2) Traffic travelling on AYLMERS VALLEY ROAD eastern side shall give way to traffic travelling on ONUKU ROAD and RUE JOLIE. (3) Traffic on RUE GREHAN shall give way to traffic travelling on RUELAVAUD. (4) Traffic travelling on WOODILLS ROAD shall give way to traffic travelling on RUE LAVAUD. (5) Traffic on TAKAMATUA VALLEY ROAE shall Stop for traffic travelling on STATE HIGHWAY 75. (6) Traffic on OLD COACH ROAD shall stop foi traffic travelling on STATE HIGHWAY 75. BUS STOPS 5. Schedule Three of the Akaroa County Traffic Control By-law 1974 is amended as follows:— (1) On the eastern side oi Rue Jolie from the intersection of Bruce Terrace northwards for a distance of 30m. PUBLIC NOTICE is also given that the above Resolution will be submitted to a meeting ol the Akaroa County Council tc be held in the Council Chambers, Duvauchelle on Tuesday June 26, 1984 for confirmation as a Special Order.
