At present there is a local PDP 11/34 with links to the Otago University's 85930 machine and to the M.A.F. network of PRIME machines and it is required for the applicant to be involved in the development and support of this system. A graphics work station is being developed and the applicant would be required to take a part in this project. It is planned to update the PDP within 12 months by a machine linked to the M.A.F. network and the transfer of the operation to this machine would be the applicants responsibility. A suitable qualification would be an honours degree with a substantial content of computing.
